Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Chai!
I will be going back Malacca tomorrow night straight after work. Hopefully there won't be any massive jam. I know somehow or rather there will be a jam but just keep my fingers crossed that it won's be so serious. Can't wait to meet my cousins. But unfortunately, my sis couldn't make for CNY. She has to work. She is working in China and all the China people will be on leave but the company still operates so she has to work lo.. This news somehow bring down my CNY mood. Not being able to reunite with all my family members. I need more CNY songs!!
And tomorrow itself will be my last day in TMR. Will be starting my new job in ON after CNY. Although I didn't really like the management system of TMR, but I really have learnt a lot which I think is very useful for my next job as a Product Engineer. Some of the most important things I learnt are communication with colleagues, customers and suppliers and also project management. I always wanna make sure everything is in order and my project runs smoothly but there will always be problems due to the management system which I think is a total waste. If not because of the management system, I believe this company can progress even better. Anyhow, I need to move forward and turn over a new leaf. And what better way to start a new job than right after CNY! Wish me luck ya.
New Year Resolutions. It's kinda late to list down my resolutions only now but let's just make it my 'chinese' new year resolutions. Basically, it doesn't differ much from my previous resolutions. And I can proudly say that I manage to achieve 80% of my last year's resoultion. There rest were subjective and I believe only others can judge. For example, my resolutions to be a better person. But I did try though. =)
And as for this year,
- I wanna set a good platform for my career. I wanna do my best in my new job and develop a good career. I believe that working in an established company can bring me far. So it's all up to me whether or not to grab the oppurtunity.
- I wanna spend more time with my family members. As we are not seeing each other everyday since my uni days, my relationship with my parents has became stronger. We appreciate each other even more and we make sure every minute together is spent with joy which is why I always look forward to go back. Moreover, they are not young anymore. We should spend more time with them whenever we can. I just wanna say that both of them are the upmost important people in my life.
- Again, to travel overseas more. It's been my dream to travel around the world to see outside Malaysia..their culture, lifestyle, buildings etc. It's the curiousity to see and experience different things because the world is so big and we are only at one tiny side of the world.
- Lastly, I wish to be better in terms of personality and financial. I really think I have changed emotionally especially during that time of the month. Previously, I don't have this problem but now the PMS is getting obvious. Something's wrong with me. I get irritated very easily. I become sentitive to the small things. I must try and control. And I need to control my spendings and save more especially with the economy's condition now.
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR & MAY THE YEAR OF OX BRINGS YOU HAPPINESS & WEALTH!

Be Good for Xmas
I have been a bad girl lately. I have been complaining a lot about my manager and even ganged up with my other collegues gossiping about him. But we really cannot tahan his management skills and leadership. He doesn't join us for meetings with customers and yet wanna ask this and that. In fact, it's part of his responsibilities to deal with customers. And he never help us when we have problems. Only when the customer complains to him, then only he takes action. He always like to talk big when everything he said is wrong and when he knows nothing. When he realizes he is wrong, then only he keeps quiet. If front of us he acts like a tiger, but in front of big boss he shrinks into a rat. Whatever..he just makes me doesn't respect him at all. Here I go again. Can't stop when start mentioning him. Bad, very bad and unhealthy. So from today onwards I will try my best to tahan and SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL AND SPEAK NO EVIL..at least before I start my new job next year Feb.
P/S: Went to watch Ip Man (pronounced as yip mun) on Monday. A movie based on true life. About a sifu who used kungfu to stand for the Chinese during Japanese occupation. Strongly recomended. 5 stars. must watch.
Last but not least, have a warm and merry christmas with your loved ones. =)

Classic Beauty
And since my eyes are so familiar with vintage classic beauty lately, I now only begun to discover the beauty of Kiera Kinghtley and Audrey Hepburn. I know I am kinda late. I absoloutely love Kiera's vintage look which is why she has been acting a lot of classic movies. I adore her looks especially with nude make-up. Simple and classic. And Audrey, need I say more? In fact, no words could describe the 'one of the most beautiful women of all time'. Fyi, she is already a legend. She died in 1993. They said she is a fashion icon who didn't follow fashion. 'She wore what suited her throughout her life, fasion trends be damned'. Well, this is something I believe in and which is so true. If a style is so in fashion, doesn't mean that you have to follow in order to be fashionable. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and pretty. That is more important coz with that only you will feel confident.

Jay Chow to release new album 'Capricorn'

Asian pop sensation Jay Chou's new album "Capricorn", named after his constellation, will be released across the Asia on October 9.
Pre-orders of the album are permitted from September 24, and those interested will receive a free Rubik's Cube.
The album's hit song "Fragrant Rice" is due to premiere worldwide on September 22 on Sina.com.
Both the lyrics and music of the song have been composed by Jay Chow. He uses simple words to create imaginative worlds through a combination of hip hop and folk music.

Holiday at Bali ~ 10/9/08-13/9/08
If you are planning on a budget trip, I would advise you to do it free and easy which means you plan everything yourself because the package by travel agency will include very expensive dinners/lunches and tour guide tippings and even commissions. Most importantly, you need to get the lowest price of air fare because the air fare can be as expensive as 1k or more. We manage to get return air fares from Air Asia at only RM207. We actually bought a 4D3N Free & Easy package from Pearl Holiday at Matta Fair for RM634 per person inclusive of 3N hotel, return air tickets and airport transfer. You can even save from the hotel if you don't mind staying at hostels. They are not that bad actually. You can get more information from the net. And if you don't spend too much on souvenirs and shoppings, all you need is just 1k for everything and you can enjoy Bali just as much.. which is what we did! We only used RM400 per person for our expenses in Bali. Besides a couple of expensive meals, you might spend quite a bit on water sport and spa. The entrance fees are not much..only about Rp6.000-Rp10.000 per entry.
As for transportation, you can buy their tour package there. They have many tour booth by the roadside. Alternatively, you can also rent a car or motorbike but you need fill the petrol yourself and their price of petrol is about RM2.40 mind you..So, I think driving yourself there is more suitable for those who intend to stay long and experience the lifestyle there. As for us, we hire a driver to bring us around and he's our tour guide as well. If you wanna save time and money, this is the best alternative as the driver knows the short-cuts, the 'technique' of driving there, which route to take and when is the most suitable time to visit a place. Plus, you don't wanna waste your time sesat there as their road is quite complicated without very helpful signboards. Standard price for a driver is Rp300.000 (full day 10-12hrs) and Rp175.000 (half day 6hrs) including petrol and parking fees. This price is for one car and our driver was using a Suzuki APV which can fit 6-7 people. We manage to get special price from our driver as we booked him for 2 full days and 1 half day. He's a very nice man but kinda passive as in he's not very talkative to explain and talk to you. So we have ask a lot..hehe..Initially, I contacted his friend Pak Agus (+6281337359168) but he was booked so he recomended Pak Atori (+6281803880142). I got Agus' contact from one of the internet forums. If you guys wanna go there, you may sms him from Malaysia a few days before you go to book him first.. he'll reply. I chose him because his price is negotiable. If both of them is not available, you may contact me as I have a few more contacts. Remember to keep your hp credit sufficient if you are using prepaid as one sms to Malaysia or Indonesia number is RM2.00. If you have many sms/calls to made, it's better to get a sim card there..very cheap.. only about Rp20.000 (less than RM10).
As for the souvenir's price, usually you can bargain up to half the price displayed. We only bought a few t-shirts and batik purses. The food there is quite expensive if you go to restaurants and cafe.. but more hygenic. You can get cheaper food from the warungs but becareful if you have sensitive stomach as you might end up with a 'lau sai'. And remember to keep Rp150.000 for the passenger service charge at Ngurah Rai Airport when returning to Malaysia. The charge is not included in the air fare. Some of the Bahasa Indonesia you might need to know are like Ibu (miss/mrs), Bapak (mister), kamar kecil (toilet), bisa (boleh), faham (know), sapi (beef) etc.. not much difference from our Bahasa Malaysia actually.

Electronic Gadgets for myself

Firstly, I have longed for a laptop like since secondary school. I thought it was so cool being able to bring your laptop around everywhere you go. But in those days, jangan harap you can get a 2000+ laptop. They were very very expensive. So, when I entered uni, I bought the fugly (fat and ugly) desktop coz that's the cheapest my sis can get for me and which meets my needs. So, I was stuck with that desktop for 4 years. The reason I buy a laptop? Coz it's easier for me to bring back hometown to online or transfer stuff from my sis's laptop. And since my stupiak company didn't give us laptop, it's more convinient when I have meeting with customer at their place. Moreover, this laptop has more RAM and HDD which means smoother multitasking and more space for downloads..hehe.. So, yeah.. I bought the Compaq Presarion V3000 which is not very expensive but considerably enough for me... afterall I only use computer for online, documentation, watch movie and some light-duty games. I like its scratch-proof cover and its simple and classy interior unlike Dell Insprion's silver interior.

Secondly, as for the handphone.. I never really wanted to buy a new handphone. Afterall, my old Nokia 3120 still can be used only with some scratches here and there. And I am not the kind of people who keep changing their handphone to follow the latest trend. In fact I am very scared of spending a lot of money on expensive stuff coz I am scared I'll spoil, damage, or scratch it one day.. then I'll be very very 'sam-tong'.. coz I know myself I am not a dainty person who takes good care of her stuff very well.. I am clumsy sometimes..hehe. So what makes me buy a new one? Pressure from people around me (what a lame excuse). But seriously.. when I took out handphone, my friends and cousins will ask "eh, when wanna change hp?" or "eh, don't want change hp meh?"..walau, my hp that teruk meh? If I am in good mood, I'll reply "No need la. Still can use ma. Don't waste money lo. Can call can dy." If I no mood, I'll reply "Going to buy". Moreover, my mum also asked me to give her mine after I buy a new one.. with new casing of course. So when I was finally financially able to buy, I asked Onn for suggestion and his boss suggested K770 with 3.2megapixel cybershot.. again, not very expensive but new and enough for me. I like it coz it's not too bulky. Can put in pocket without buldging. =)
